A Fleury of Saves
Former #1 overall pick Marc-Andre Fleury was outstanding in the Stanley Cup Playoffs last season, as the young but very talented Pittsburgh Penguins nearly ousted the mighty Detroit Red Wings. Fleury, however, has been inconsistent this season, and so has pretty much the whole team. He has posted month-by-month GAAs of 2.26, 4.04. 3.17, 2.55, 3.14, and 2.05 in March while the once-favored Penguins battle for one of the final three playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. They ultimately lost this game 4-3 in OT against the Blue Jackets last Thursday, but check out these great saves he makes on R.J. Umberger at point-blank range to salvage a point.
