Daily Duel April 6: Sidney Crosby vs. Keith Ballard

The headline does not lie. NHL wunderkind Sidney Crosby got in an actual fight Sunday, as he tangled with Keith Ballard of the Florida Panthers. As Evgeni Malkin burns up the boards with the puck, Ballard lines him up and delivers a perfect hip check that sent Malkin flipping over his back. Sid the Kid then goes right after him, even getting a few punches in. Ballard gets in a few good shots before they twirl and tumble to the ice. I guess I’ll have to pick Ballard as the winner, because the trade-off of players being taken off the ice for 5 minutes is tremendous.

  1. Nice video, I like how he crushes Malkin, then afterwards beats up Crosby. Ballard will have a good story to tell at the bars.
