An Incredible Shootout Goal by a Junior-Leaguer

Much has been made of Linus Omark’s amazing shootout goal in Sweden, which has been an absolute sensation on Youtube. But this goal by Nick Lindberg of the Port Huron Icehawks from the International Hockey League simply boggles the mind. It’s such a deft move, you literally need to watch all the replays to know exactly what he does. Lindberg comes straight at Kalamazoo goalie Joel Martin, dekes a little bit, then quickly moves his stick behind his back like a trick-pool shooter and pokes the puck into the left corner of the net. It’s quite an astounding play that I think, like Omark’s, will inevitably be copy-catted in the NHL.
