Daily Duel April 22: George Parros vs. Doug Murray

The gloves finally dropped in the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, after a long drought of daily duels. But George Parros of Anaheim can always be counted on to provide some nice slobberknocking entertainment. Here he tangles with Doug Murray of the San Jose Sharks, who size-wise can go toe-to-toe with Parros. For the first period of a 2-2 game, one the Sharks needed desperately to win, this was a perfect time for both combatants to step in and try to assert themselves. Murray wins by default, because his team was in needs of a kick in its own ass and stepping to the plate against one of the league’s premiere tough guys can really boost your team’s morale and energy.
